You can purchase SPS software to design your own incentive-based compensation systems.  Five categories of software are available, making it possible to design virtually any type of plan that you can envision.

Incentive plan only - You may purchase the incentive plan separate from other parts of the compensation system.

Incentive based compensation system - You may purchase the incentive plan with the other elements of a compensation system.  They are:

  • Job grade structure

  • Salary ranges

  • One-page job performance description outlines 

Software format

Microsoft Excel 2000 - The software is written in Excel 2000.  This allows you the option of hiding elements of the program that you may not want to show (e.g. salary ranges).  You can modify formatting, change text, etc.

Software license - The software is licensed to the purchaser for use in his or her current company.  The software is copy righted.  Resale or other commercial use is prohibited.

Easy to use

Interview guide - The interview guide worksheet is organized to logically walk you through all of the inputs needed to customize the program to your company or sales force.

System management - The system management worksheet is organized around your calendar of activities.  

  • At the start of the year it guides you to input participant names, set commission rates, set thresholds, and print handouts with projected income simulations by participant.

  • At the end of the year it guides you through the input of actual sales data, calculation of incentive awards, printing of participant award sheets, and printing of management reports.

Support

One-hour free telephone support - Your time is important.  We have built a free hour of support into the price so that you can get up and running quickly and not get bogged down in administrative questions.

SPS will set it up for you - The easiest way to get up and running is to call Robert Kosobud at SPS.  He will use the following process steps:

  • He will discuss your situation with you and make a recommendation regarding the category of plan to use and the specific characteristics to meet your needs.

  • He will talk you through the interview guide to obtain all of the information needed for you to implement a program.  He will input the information for you.

  • He will set preliminary commission rates and thresholds for you.

  • He will mail you the software on a CD with a printed copy of the participant handouts and management reports that the program generates.
